Activities and Achievements
We have been able to feed 500 dinners for the homeless Thanksgiving Day on Park Ave and Floyd St outside 2022. We have given out gift bags with toys, clothes and gifts cards at Christmas to 75 children city wide Lynchburg for the low-income families 2022. New Year’s, we gave out 100 plates of food to the under-privileged people on Park Ave and Floyd St Lynchburg which is called “Feed- the Need”.We sponsored 2023 Easter explosion in which we had motivational speech, Easter egg hunt and gave prizes away to the low-income children at Miller Park Lynchburg and they enjoyed. The Homeless from the Salvation Army came and we never turn them away but we also feed them. We always have enough of everything thanks to our Faithful Sponsors. In August 12, 2023 at Miller Park, we had our annual Back-to- School Explosion and we had school supplies, food, and bag packs. A young girl won $100 that was in her bag back.March 5 2023, was the last day they were at Salvation Army, Lynchburg and they didn’t have anywhere to live. We were able to let them stay at the New Glory Apartments. 1707 12th St Lynchburg, VA 24501. The New Glory Apartment was awarded to the President Dorothy Smith in Honor of her commitment of helping homeless, low-income families and children for the last 27 years here in Lynchburg, VA.The homeless people living at the New Glory Apartment are now productive. They are working and doing some volunteer work in different facilities.
